On August 30, the "Qindao Forest Breath·Healthy Living Season"—a Hengqin health and wellness-themed event—kicked off joyfully at the Guangdong-Macao Co-operation Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park in Hengqin, Guangdong (hereinafter referred to as the "Hengqin TCM Industrial Park")! The first event drew numerous citizens and tourists eager to check in, officially kicking off an immersive experience that seamlessly blends traditional Chinese medicine culture with modern, health-conscious lifestyles.

 

 

The event begins with "Spring Growth, Summer Expansion, Autumn Harvest, Winter Storage" – Four Major Themed Zones Connecting the entire health-and-wellness check-in route, each area draws numerous visitors who stop to immerse themselves in the experience. Tourists stroll through the Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Experience Hall, the Aoqin TCM Cultural Street, the Famous Doctors’ Pavilion, time-honored Chinese brands, corporate exhibition booths, and unique TCM-themed DIY craft stations—every step reveals a new scenic highlight, accompanied by the constant sounds of cameras clicking and cheerful laughter.

 

 

In the "Spring Growth" zone, the experience of crafting floating herb bottles drew many parent-child families, as children carefully sealed flowers and plants inside the bottles—almost as if they were holding an entire spring in their hands. Meanwhile, the "Summer Flourishing" area was buzzing with excitement, packed to the brim with eager spectators eager to try out the Five Animal Frolics. Everyone followed the instructor’s every move, gracefully stretching their bodies, all while laughter filled the air. Nearby, the snack market wafted enticing aromas, with delicacies like Macanese beef offal, Portuguese egg tarts, and egg waffles winning over visitors’ hearts. As locals savored these authentic treats, they couldn’t stop praising: "This is the real deal!"

 

 

The Baicao Sun-Drying Workshop and the traditional herbal incense card-making experience in the "Autumn Harvest" area encourage visitors to slow down. Many young people stop by to explore and even try their hand at crafting their own medicinal herb-infused incense cards, truly appreciating the warmth of these time-honored crafts. Meanwhile, the "Winter Storage" area—featuring renowned doctors offering consultations and comprehensive health-check services—has become especially popular. Families often bring along both elders and children for personalized wellness advice and guidance.

 


The event also featured free tea and ice cream distribution stations, offering a refreshing treat to beat the summer heat and enhance the overall experience. In addition to merchants from the Aomen-Qin Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Street, the event included a centralized exhibition area showcasing more than 20 park-based enterprises. Visitors could enjoy a one-stop experience, exploring cutting-edge smart health screenings, consulting renowned doctors, and discovering carefully curated wellness products—ranging from science-backed health practices to time-honored herbal remedies, all designed to inspire a new era of healthy living. Many attendees remarked: "I never expected TCM cultural events could be so fun, so photogenic, and even so easy to shop for!"
