Macao Helps Traditional Chinese Medicine Enterprises to Access European and African Markets at the Business Matching Forum of the 2019 Traditional Medicine International Development Forum (2019 TMIF Euro-Africa)

On the occasion of the “2019 Traditional Medicine International Development Forum (Euro-Africa)”, a Business Matching session was held in Lisbon, Portugal in that afternoon. Present at the event were representatives from government departments, experts in traditional medicine, representatives from business and trade sectors, and distributors, totalling 120 participants, coming from Macao, Mainland China, the European Union, and African countries. At the event, the discussions were focused on the current situation, market features, cases of international trade and registration, and relevant regulations of Traditional Medicine, food supplements, and health products in European and African countries and regions.

‘AMIGO – Exchange Segment among International Youth TCM Practitioners’ to Advance the Joint Development of TCM Talents Worldwide

The ‘AMIGO – Interactive Segment among International Youth TCM Practitioners’ was held in Lisbon, Portugal on May 15 during the ‘2019 Traditional Medicine International Development Forum’ (‘2019 TMIF Euro-Africa’). About 100 young TCM practitioners, as well as representatives from government departments, industry experts and representatives from universities, were brought together from countries and regions such as Macao, Mainland China, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany, Mozambique, and Cape Verde to share ideas on the application of TCM in China and Portuguese-speaking countries and regions and to interact with international experts, thus advancing the international development of talents and the Traditional Medicine industry in a deeper and broader scope.

To Build a Platform for International Exchanges in Traditional Medicine and Explore the Integrated Development of Youth TCM Practitioners 2019 Traditional Medicine International Development Forum (Euro-Africa) Opened in Lisbon, Portugal on 15 May 2019

Hosted by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People’s Republic of China, and coordinated by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao (‘Industrial Park’), the ‘2019 Traditional Medicine International Development Forum (Euro-Africa)’ held its grand opening in Lisbon, Portugal on 15 May 2019. During the event, the Industrial Park signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Health and Social Security of the Republic of Cape Verde to expand and deepen the cooperation between the two sides in the field of Traditional Medicine.

The "2018 China (Macau) Traditional Medicine International Cooperation Forum," organized by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and hosted by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Cooperation between Guangdong and Macao (hereinafter referred to as the Industrial Park), grandly opened on September 20 at the Venetian Macao. As an annual international exchange event held by the Industrial Park, the forum has successfully been held for four consecutive years, establishing its brand in the industry and building international strategic cooperation relationships, becoming an important bridge for communication and cooperation in the industry both domestically and internationally.

Jointly Forging an International TCM Quality Control Base——Plaque Unveiled for the Liaison Office of the Guangdong Food and Drug Administration in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park

The "Inauguration Ceremony of the Liaison Office of the Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Cooperation between Guangdong and Macao and the Research Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology and Policy" was held on July 25 in the multifunctional conference hall on the second floor of the research headquarters office building of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Cooperation between Guangdong and Macao. Approximately 200 participants, including representatives from the governments of Guangdong and Macao, review experts, and enterprise representatives, attended the event. The organizers hope that the establishment of the liaison office will create a communication platform for the drug regulatory authorities, industry experts, and enterprises in the park, providing better technical guidance and policy consultation for enterprises during the registration, declaration, and review certification processes.
