Voice of Youth TCM Practitioners

“TCM has a long history in Macao. It is popular among Macao residents in terms of the internal use and external application of TCM, acupuncture, manipulative therapy, orthopedics and traumatology. I hope that the International Youth TCM Practitioners Exchange Base will serve as a bridge connecting international TCM practitioners and promote TCM exchange activities at home and abroad so as to gather international practitioners together and introduce TCM to the world.”

Amber ChoiAmber Choi, a young TCM practitioner from Macao

“I’ve practiced clinical acupuncture for many years. The International Youth TCM Practitioners Exchange Base has given me an opportunity to venture out of the clinic, broaden my vision, promote medical exchange between Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries, and play a positive role in facilitating the inheritance and development of TCM.”

Chao Iao IChao Iao I, a young TCM practitioner from Macao

“The exchange activities were rich in content with newly-published researches and expert comments, which enriched my knowledge of TCM. The key activity was in visiting the local TCM clinics to understand how the local TCM industry worked. I hope that the base will not only share the lectures of reputable TCM practitioners but also publish and share the academic researches of young TCM practitioners. I also hope that it can carry out medical exchanges with other countries and regions and contribute to the promotion of TCM.”

Lai Ka MengLai Ka Meng, a young TCM practitioner from Macao

“Thanks to AMIGO for allowing me to share my views with international experts and other TCM practitioners. I hope to have the opportunity to be a part of this learning platform because TCM is a land of dreams and is the future. In Cape Verde, TCM is still developing. Nevertheless, we believe that there will be positive changes in the near future and more Cape Verdeans will gradually accept TCM over time.”

João Paulo BritoJoão Paulo Brito, a doctor at a public hospital of Cape Verde

“I hope that the base will include the latest and most advanced training courses to better respond to the needs and requirements of patients. At the same time, I hope the base can organize more exchanges with TCM practitioners in other countries to improve the level of practice.”
