On the basis of current public service platforms, in order to accelerate the development of innovative platforms, GMTCM Park constructed a public laboratory and invested over 10 million yuan in the purchase of advanced instruments and apparatus in 2019 to satisfy the basic needs of SMEs to conduct laboratory research by supporting them with venues and instruments. The shared venue covers over 2,500 square meters with 50 shared instruments available.
The instruments the public laboratory is equipped with can satisfy the needs for the research and development of granules, tablets, capsules, oral liquids, pastes and gels in the three areas of TCM, healthcare food and cosmetics, especially for basic material research, element analysis, and trace analysis.

GMTCM Park’s public laboratory is a professional laboratory for pharmaceutical research and development for businesses, which is reasonably planned, finely decorated and completely equipped. Businesses can either rent the venue for the short or long term according to their own needs. Laboratory activities can be carried out upon their settlement in GMTCM Park to help them save costs during their start-up stage.
Application procedure:Application for use of the public laboratory involves submission of application documents, review and approval, advanced payment (including deposits), and arrangement for use. When rental is due, laboratory staff will check and take over the laboratory with any balance payment to be settled during the handover of the laboratory.
The public laboratory provides companies with different types of instruments and apparatus needed in all links of pharmaceutical and medical research and development, including high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatograph (GC), Q-TOF LC/MS, triple quadrupole liquid chromatography mass spectrometers, ICP-MS, tablet pressers, driers, granulators, coaters, and dissolution testers.
Usage procedures: The use of shared instruments and apparatus is charged either by the working hours of machines or the quantity of test samples. If it is charged by the working hours of machines, an application form for booking a shared instrument should be submitted. If it is charged by test samples, a registration form for sample testing should be submitted. Either option can be proceeded upon approval. Payment should be made in advance and settled quarterly.
