The plaque unveiling ceremony of the Liaison Office of the Guangdong Drug Administration (the former Guangdong Food and Drug Administration) in GMTCM Park and the Chinese Medicine Technology and Policy Research Center was officially held in July 2018. As a communication platform connecting government agencies and enterprises, the liaison office has regularly organized activities for industry experts and representatives of enterprises and functional government departments to discuss and exchange their ideas on issues regarding policies, technologies, and the industrial development of TCM, providing enterprises with advice and guidance on policies and key technologies in the process of project R&D, registration and application.

Since the plaque unveiling ceremony, the liaison office has held a number of salons on TCM, healthcare food and cosmetics, as well as face-to-face exchange activities on topics of popular concern related to TCM. Authoritative and industry experts from the Center for Drug Evaluation of NMPA were invited to provide interpretation on key policies for more than 400 enterprises, and to offer advice and guidance on common problems encountered in the registration, application, and technology research for R&D projects.
